What Is Biz Magic Reiki™ Anyway?

Good question! To get you started, Reiki is an energy healing technique where the practitioner ‘lays their hands’ on the client and allows for the Reiki energy to flow through them. It can be done in person, but it doesn’t have to be.

Biz Magic Reiki™ begins the reiki process, taps into the soul of your business, and then directs the energy where it needs to go to best benefit your business.

I’ve used it to expand how much I can receive (and get more clients in a launch!), to help attract in the right clients, to help clients know if a program is aligned for them and flow into easily, to clear outside energy from my business and about a million other things.

In our group calls, Shelby will be leading all of us through a reiki embedded meditation that’s aligned with where we are as a sistergood that month- one month we may magnetize our offers so our cash infusions get lots of attention, another we may do some energetic healing and expansion on our business bank accounts and our money room in the soul of business. These are really powerful sessions – and I am immensely excited to include them with Spellbinding Sales! Let’s let the energy do the work for us.

The History of Biz Magic Reiki™

Biz Magic Reiki™ began in 2017 with an experiment – if reiki, an energy work method, could be applied to businesses, how would it work?

Well, it does work and beta testers including myself saw: shifts in mood from stressed or worried to relaxed and confident, increase in ideas and creativity, unexpected invitations that helped open doors in our businesses, sudden increases in email lists, positive responses to social media and email content, receiving more correspondences from potential clients, more testimonials flowing in, and of course came the sales.

Since this question, I’ve performed over 170 Biz Magic Reiki™ sessions in which I’ve worked with clients to optimize and nourish the energies of their bank accounts, the energies of their offers, which client energies were present and leading them into the offers, and the energies of sales pages and social media accounts. And the testimonials are still rolling in!

I’m Shelby Melissa – Reiki Master, Master of Social Work, and energy mentor for passionate entrepreneurs of all genders. I bring the social work understanding of systems and environmental influences on people to energy work – understanding systems of energy and how those influence individual energies as well as collective energies.

More transformation than B-School!

For the last three years, I have CRINGED and wanted to poke my eyes out with a fork every time somebody says something related to inner client work! I grew up in marketing – literally. By chance (fate?), I started interning at a small woman run marketing and advertising agency as a teenager. As her agency expanded into digital marketing and self-publishing, I suddenly became a weekend + summer employee. And this is what changed everything – even though I didn’t know it then!

By the time I reached business school, I realized that I’d already been doing for years what these first classes were doing. So I moved out to California and started working for a bronze sculptor. What started off as mostly just scheduling emails + tweaking how people found him on search engines, quickly transformed into running his multimillion dollar business…by myself! Everything but the sales + the actual design work was under my belt, and suddenly the business was thriving again! (Think going from owing thousands of dollars to receiving six figure sales monthly!)

But life struck – so after leaving an abusive relationship, I headed back to the East Coast, spent 6 months on self-care, clearing my energy, and letting go of old co-dependent patterns. And then I found myself working at a fantastic digital marketing firm. I grew my way up to manager, running million dollar marketing campaigns…and then surprise! There was a baby on the way! All was well!…For about six months when that agency suddenly closed, as they had way too much on their plate to run multiple businesses.

I had a decision – do I go back to the 9-5 and hope I can find someone who will let me stay at home with my still nursing baby? Do I start my own business?

My clients made the decision for me when they asked if they could continue working for me. Voila! I was booked out within months, hitting 10K months in under six months, and by everything on paper, I was a big success.

But…working with corporate clients wasn’t quite riiiight. I couldn’t agree with all of my clients’ decisions – a lot were solely based on fear! It still felt like I was working for the system, instead of bettering it.

So I began working with spiritual, conscious entrepreneurs who wanted to achieve their dreams…but also to feel really good while doing it. Women who wanted to change the world around them, and whose visions I could really support.

And in all of this I realized – I suddenly had to learn how to sell. So I invested in mentors and programs…but all I really got were scripts that didn’t feel good. The inner rebel in me finally decided there had to be a better way, did tons of research, and started blending spiritual + energy techniques in with the tried and true. And viola! Ease and alignment were obtained!

Now, I really thrive helping women grow impactful businesses, their way. Because everyone’s dreams and goals are different. And everyone’s energy is different. So why aren’t we using that as a GIFT instead of trying to squeeze ourselves into a box?

Basically I use human design to understand what your specific gifts are + what fear patterns may appear, ritual to align everything you’re doing with your own energy, and attraction based marketing strategies to anchor all of this down into aligned action.

My mission is helping my clients understand how to best use their energy to create the most transformative experience for their clients – to rise as someone who is truly serving their clients. (And to allow the Universe to support you fully through this!)

I’m a Manifesting Generator in Human Design – and a 6/2. Which pretty much means that I’m here to be a creative leader. I have defined willpower, which means I have consistent energy to do all the things – and if you don’t have that, you can amplify mine and use it in your own life. (Seriously!) I also have the channel of resurrection – giving me the skills to literally help you rebirth yourself, your business, or your projects.

I’m a quadruple Scorpio – I did a fun podcast recently where an astrologer examined my chart + what I’m here to do in life…but in general I see it as using my intuition + knowledge to educate people…and to shine light on the dark or taboo in all areas of our lives.
